Happy Monday guys! The other weekend we went to a pumpkin patch. It was so much fun and I got a bunch of questions about it, so I thought I would do a round up of my favorite pumpkin patches in the Chicago area. Things might look a lot different this year due to COVID, but you can still safely have fun and continue on your traditions.
This year we went to Sonny Acres Farms. I thought they did an amazing job! They took everyone’s temperature who entered and I would say that 90% of the people were wearing masks. They also wiped down rides between each use and continued to express the importance of keeping at least 6 feet apart on their hay rides.
They also had THE BEST apple cider donuts and it was the perfect place for kids. There were a ton of activities including pony rides, bouncy houses, a playground, a petting zoo, hay rides, a trampoline, and a train ride throughout the entire pumpkin patch. Lastly, they had the cutest cartoon cardboard cut outs of all your kid’s favorites including Daniel Tiger, PJ Masks, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Puppy Dog Palls, and my daughter’s personal favorite: LOL Dolls. So cute! Lastly, it is FREE to get in. You only need to buy tickets to do all the rides.
No matter what pumpkin patch you decide to attend, I would recommend going as soon as it opens and I’m sure week days will be even less crowded. Also we wore our masks the entire time except for photos and when we were eating our apple cider donuts.
