5 TRENDS I'M LOVING FOR SUMMER

I would have to say that summer is probably my favorite season. Give me all the pool parties, outdoor dining, and rooftops please! Today I’m sharing a few summer trends that I’ve been slowly mixing into my outfits. Let’s break it down:

1. PEARL BARRETTES

It took me awhile to get on board with this trend, but I’ve finally done it. Besides headbands, I’m not one to usually wear hair accessories, but I find these kind of cute. I was able to snag this great set for only $6. Maybe it’s a blogger trend, but a fun one to try if you feel like switching things up. So far I’m starting with one, but a lot of girls wear 2-3 in a row so stay tuned 😉 .

2. EYELET EVERYTHING

Eyelet is always a popular summer trend and one that I’m very into. This red top from Ann Taylor is currently on SALE and an additional 40% OFF. They always have great styles and best sales! This top has the cutest puffy sleeves, a flattering square neckline, and peplum hem. It’s not a typical top that I would get, but I always love a little pop of color. It’s also always good to have a few new cute tops on your closet. When it comes to eyelet, I usually gravitate towards white + black, but have started branching out to unexpected colors.

3. LEOPARD

As we all know, I’m a huge fan when it comes to leopard and this is a trend that was going strong during springtime too. Remember this leopard maxi dress? If you’re not a fan, then you can be more subtle and try to incorporate it with a shoe or headband. These sandals are BEYOND comfortable and currently on sale for only $40. Not into leopard? They come in four different colors and a must have for summer!

4. STRAW HANDBAG

These are a MUST for summer and has been on heavy rotation the last couple weeks {remember this post?}. It’s the perfect size and only $28. Also neutral colors are always easy to style and go with everything. Some other styles I’m loving include this one, this one, and this one.

5. HEADBANDS

I think I’ve become a little too obsessed with this trend, and even devoted half of a dresser drawer to my new collection. When it comes to trends, I find that it’s better to not spend too much money on them because they will eventually fade. Amazon has an amazing selection of styles with tons of different prints to choose from. Some other go-to brands include H&M, Topshop, & Forvever 21. I also of course had to get this one from Lele Sadoughi . It’s a bit on the pricier side, but oh so fun!
