Spring is in the air here in Chicago and lately I’ve been wearing either this outfit or a similar one during the week. I’m all about functional layers, comfortable denim, slip on mules, headbands, and fun sunnies to get me through the week.

These photos were taken last week when lunching with friends. We had such a fun time checking out the domes at  City Winery Chicago at the Riverwalk. It was a bit chillier that day, so this jacket was perfect. Let’s break my entire look down:

FAUX LEATHER JACKET

When it comes to faux leather jackets, I’m a huge fan of BLANKNYC. They’re jackets always have great structure and I love the hardware details. This one has a removable hood and comes in 3 different colors. It’s the perfect layering piece for spring and easily gives any outfit more of an edgy vibe {which I love!}. Also it’s under $100 so what more can you ask for!? SHOP MORE FAUX LEATHER JACKETS HERE.

PINK SWEATSHIRT

In my mind, you can never have too many pink sweatshirts. This is a light, bright color for spring and super comfortable. This one is only $42 and comes in a few different colors. During the week I usually always gravitate towards a cute sweatshirt because it’s both cozy and functional. You can SHOP MORE SWEATSHIRTS HERE.

DISTRESSED DENIM

Distressed denim is always a great go-to. I especially love the edgy look and a raw hem bottom of these. They’re from Old Navy, and a year old, but I found a similar style here. I feel like I wear them at least once a week and they go great with sandals and slip-on mules. You can SHOP MORE DISTRESSED DENIM HERE.

LEOPARD HEADBAND

I am LOVING the headband trend this season and have actually started quite the collection. This leopard one is only $3.50! It goes great with denim and easily elevates any outfit. H&M also has some well priced ones as well as Forever 21. Since it’s a trend, you don’t want to spend too much $$ on them, but I do also love this pearl one I got from Lele Sadoughi. You can also read this post to see more headbands I’ve rounded up as well as SHOP MORE HEADBANDS HERE.

SLIP-ON MULES

Aren’t these fun?! No, they’re not Gucci…but look pretty similar. I first shared this find in an Amazon Post and am happy to report they’re only $50. They’re super conformable and I always get so many compliments on them. If you’re in the market for a slip-on mule, these will be a great addition to your closet. They also come in a million different colors. Now which color should I get next? You can also SHOP MORE MULES & SLIDES HERE.

CROSSBODY BAG

This is an oldie, but a goodie from Rebecca Minkoff. I love the fringe and braided details. Sadly I’m not able to find this exact version anywhere. Rebecca Minkoff always makes such cute handbags and a few I’m loving this spring include this one, this one, and this one. You can also SHOP MORE REBECCA MINKOFF HANDBAGS HERE.

HEART SHAPED SUNGLASSES

I first talked about these sunnies in this post and actually have them in white too. These sunglasses are fun and come in a bunch of different colors. They’re only $8 and perfect for bachelorette parties, vacations, and summertime. I have them in white too.
