If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen that I was in California last week. We had a blast and visited Newport Beach, Palm Springs, and Los Angeles. Traveling with a toddler can be tricky so we like to put a lot of effort in choosing the right hotel. When it came to picking one for LA, we went with our favorite: Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
There are a lot of reasons why I love the Sofitel and today I’m going to share them with you:
THE LOCATION
There are a lot of different neighborhoods within Los Angeles, but our personal favorite happens to be Beverly Hills. It’s filled with so many cute stores and restaurants, and the Sofitel is walking distances to all of the latest and greatest.
We are city people and LOVE to walk so when we have the option, we’re into it. Sofitel is walking distance to Melrose Street, Robertson, and even Rodeo Drive. It’s also across the street from the Beverly Center, which has even more amazing shopping and dining options. A few of our favorite restaurants that we can walk to from Sofitel include: Catch LA, Taste on Melrose, Dan Tanas, The Ivy, Nate’n Al Delicatessen, and SUR Restaurant & Lounge {who else is a Bravo fan!?).
THE ROOMS
A big reason why we love this hotel is the room set-up. When traveling with a toddler, if possible it’s best to try to book a suite. They have a great one at Sofitel where the bedroom is separate from the living room. We can put our daughter down in the bedroom for naps and her early bedroom, close the door, and then hang out in the living room. We also were lucky enough to get a balcony this time too!

THE AMENITIES
Sofitel has some amazing amenities including an outdoor swimming pool. It was a bit cold while we were there so we weren’t able to swim, but we did get to check out the outdoor deck. They also have an amazing full-service spa as well as a workout room. Lastly, they offer complementary Wifi, 24 hour In Room Dining, and a business center.

THE DECOR
I love the modern decor of the entire hotel. It’s a mix of Hollywood glamour with European elegance. Everything is super chic and sophisticated. They also had some amazing artwork scattered throughout the lobby while we were there that my daughter was especially fond of. It makes for great photo ops.

THE FOOD
Sofitel has an amazing restaurant called Cattle & Claw that is especially known for their burgers and lobster. They also had the cutest outdoor dining area that was decorated like a pretty garden. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s a total must. Such a fun vibe and the food is great!
Another favorite is Riviera 31 which is more of a lounge. They offer live music and sophisticated cocktails. We had our daughter with us so we weren’t able to enjoy it as much as in the past.
So there you have it. A few reasons why we love Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. We’ve stayed here the past few times we’ve been to LA and have loved it for quite some time. In full transparency, this year we got a discounted media rate in exchange for sharing our experience with all of you.
If you’re planning a trip to Los Angeles, make sure to check out Sofitel. You won’t be disappointed! See some more photos from our stay below:
