EASY WAYS TO GIVE BACK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Thank you Facebook Marketplace for sponsoring this post. There’s something for everyone!

This holiday season, I wanted to teach my daughter an important lesson about giving back. Even though she is still very young and just recently turned 2-years-old {you can see all about her birthday bash here!}, she is still very smart and understands a lot about the world around her.

I thought it would be nice to buy and donate a bunch of toys to a local children’s hospital near us. Nothing pains me more than the thought of a sick child, so hopefully a few toys might brighten their spirits this holiday season.

This year, I turned to Facebook Marketplace to help me out with my holiday shopping. It’s the perfect way to discover, buy and sell items. It’s easy to navigate with so many NEW as well as used items to buy.

I knew I wanted to donate only new toys to the children’s hospital in my area, so I went on Facebook Marketplace and searched: new in box toys. A bunch of options popped up in my area. They have a variety of different filters you can add, including price point, as well as mile radius. You can also shop by category, or conveniently with the search bar at the top. I was able to browse and choose what I thought looked like a good fit.

Elle helped me decide on what to get and we went with a person selling a few wooden puzzles, games, and stamp sets. We were already huge fans of the toy brand and knew that the kids at the hospital would love them!

What I love most about Facebook Marketplace is that you don’t have to download another app or set up a new account {as long as you have Facebook}, making it super simple and convenient to use! Before making my purchase, I was able to check out the person’s public Facebook profile and ask them a few questions over Messenger.

This holiday season, Facebook Marketplace really came to the rescue and helped me get my holiday gift giving done. You can save money and find unique, one-of-a-kind gifts in your local area. You can also earn extra income and find great deals directly without leaving Facebook. They really helped me out in the toy department this seasons and I’m sure that all the kids at the hospital will be excited about their new gifts.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! XO
