Happy Halloween guys! This year Elle dressed up as a unicorn and it’s the cutest thing ever. We’ve been celebrating all week and you can see more of our spooky adventures on Instagram Stories.

I’m always on the hunt for the best toddler toys for my daughter and we’ve slowly created a great inventory. My personal favorite are always learning toys because your kids can have fun and actually learn something at the same time. Today I teamed up with buybuy BABY to share Elle’s top 10 favorite learning toys for toddler so let’s break it down below:

1. Basic Skills Puzzle // 2. My First Smart Pad // 3. Learning Lights Remote
4. Laptop // 5. Touch & Swipe Phone // 6. Shape Blocks // 7. Touch & Feel Flash Cards
8. Phonics Fun Animal Bus // 9. Alphabet Sound Puzzle // 10. Laugh & Learn Piggy Bank

1. BASIC SKILLS PUZZLE

I always find that Melissa & Doug make amazing toys! This is a really cute puzzle that teaches your little one all about buttoning, zipping, buckling, snapping, lacing, and tying. It has an innovative design that helps your child learn as they have fun masting each puzzle piece. My daughter loves playing with this and although she hasn’t mastered each skill yet, she has lots of fun practicing. I also find it to be a great gift for a 2 or 3 year old.

2. MY FIRST SMART PAD

I’m planning on getting my daughter an actual iPad once she turns two, but in the meantime this toy has been great! All toddlers LOVE electronics and any button that lights up and makes sounds. This toy is 2-sided and teaches your kid about the alphabet, shapes, animals, songs, and musical instruments. It also comes with 8 books that are full of even more activities that you can use with the pad. Because of it’s size, we love bringing this in the car when we have to take longer trips. It really keeps our daughter occupied for long chunks of time!

3. LEARNING LIGHTS REMOTE

I’ve actually talked about this product before in this post. Our daughter is already obsessed with remote controls so when I saw this, I knew I had to get it. It’s a great way to keep your kid entertained and filled with 65 songs, tunes, and learning responses. It introduces numbers, shapes, and has a light-up screen with lots of different buttons. It’s also easy to take with you for entertainment on the go because of it’s small size.

4. BRILLIANT BABY LAPTOP

Just like the remote, my daughter was so enamored with my laptop that I decided to get her one of her own. It features colorful buttons and a movable mouse {in the shape of a mouse!}, which is honestly the cutest. There are a few different modes {animal, shape, or music} which features a wide variety of animal sounds, shapes, and melodies. It’s perfect for car trips and provides long chunks of entertainment while learning at the same time. It also folds shut and has an easy carrying handle.

5. TOUCH AND SWIPE PHONE

For awhile Elle was really into our phones, so once again I decided to get her one of her own. This interactive touch and swipe phone is filled with bright colors, a touch screen, and will keep your kid engaged for hours. It features a pretend calendar, a clock, a weather app, and so much more. It’s perfect for brining out to restaurants {because of it’s small size}, and super cute when Elle puts the phone to her ear and says “helloooooo”. Honestly every toddler needs one!

6. BABY’S FIRST BLOCKS

Elle has actually had this toy for awhile, but has been playing with it a lot more recently. It helps your little ones develop better hand-eye coordination as well as fine motor skills and problem solving. They’re able to learn their shapes and sort them into their specific slots. It also has an easy-carry handle that allows you to take it along wherever you go.

7. TOUCH & FEEL FLASH CARDS

I don’t know why, but my daughter is absolutely obsessed with these flash cards. I got them originally for teaching purposes and they are such a hit. They’re perfect for helping children develop early language skills and reinforces learning through touch. They have large print and bright photos with familiar objects to help children recognize everyday words. There is a whole collection of these touch and feel picture cards and DK makes really great touch and feel books too!

8. PHONICS FUN ANIMAL BUS

My daughter first became obsessed with this toy when she saw it at a weekly music class we attend. Once again, it has colorful buttons {which seems to be a common trend with toddler toys!}. It helps build fine motor skills with 26 letter buttons, each a character voice and animal sound effect. It has four modes including letters, animals, games, and music. Also the ignition knob and horn play fun sound effects.

9. ALPHABET SOUND PUZZLE

This alphabet sound puzzle has taught our daughter the alphabet. It’s once again another Melissa & Doug puzzle and the absolute best! It makes a great gift that’s also fun and entertaining. For some reason they are currently only selling the Spanish version online, but I’m sure they have both available in stores.

10. LAUGH & LEARN PIGGY BANK

Last, but not least probably our favorite toy of the whole bunch. This cute little pink pig teaches your kid all about counting, colors, animals, and so much more with songs, speech, and tons of activities. It includes 10 colorful coins as well as Smart Stages technology that changes the learning content as your child grows older. There are 40+ sing-along songs and you can press the piggy’s nose for fun sound effects {which is always our favorite!}.

So there you have it. Elle’s top 10 favorite learning toys. See some of them in action below:
