Summer is in full swing and we have been spending a lot of our hot days at the pool! There are a few favorites that we absolutely could not live without so Elle and I decided to compile a list.
We obviously can’t hang out poolside without our favorite disposable swim diapers, and these long-sleeve rashguards are perfect for protecting your little ones from the sun. See all of our favorites below and hope you’re having an amazing summer!

SWIMWAYS SUN SHADE SPRING FLOAT
We love this thing and even used it last summer too. Earlier this summer we wrote an extensive post about it here, and are huge fans! It has a removable UV sun shade that’s perfect to use on sunny days. It’s also extremely durable and easy to fold up and store or pack for vacations.
Elle is currently one and a half so if you have an older toddler then I would recommend a Puddle Jumper. We actually recently bought one for Elle, but she still doesn’t weigh enough for it yet. If you do buy one, make sure to follow the weigh restrictions {30-50 lbs}.
SWIM DIAPERS
If your bringing your baby or toddler into the pool then a swim diaper is a must. We currently use these disposable ones from Babyganics. They cover, protect, and use color changing technology that interacts with UV exposure. Not into the disposable kind? I’ve heard great things about these reusable ones that are machine washable.
ANIMAL TOWEL
You can’t forget a towel for the pool and these animal ones are adorable. They come in a bunch of different characters and are also great for the bath too. We have a the whole collection including the duck, lamb, elephant, and unicorn.
SUN HAT
Sun hats are a great way to block your little one from the sun and these are currently our favorite. They come in a bunch of different colors {we currently have white and pink} and are totally waterproof, making them perfect for the pool. They’re lightweight, breathable and machine washable. What more could you ask for?
LONG-SLEEVE RASHGUARD
These are great for both the pool beach, or if your kid is planning on playing out in the sun for a long time. They come in a few different colors and provides great coverage with UPF 50+ sun protection. We love this brand as as you saw above am all about the matching hats!
SUNSCREEN
Toddlers and babies have sensitive skin so sunscreen is a must. Our current favorites include thinkbaby, Blue Lizard, and Badger. We are also fans of this thinkbaby stick for the face.
POOL TOYS
We are all about pool toys and a few current favorites include these light-up sea creatures, these stacking boats, and these finger puppets. Honestly any bath toy will work great in the water too!
WATER TABLE
If you have outdoor space then a water table is a must! We currently live in a code so unfortunately do not, but recently went over to our friend’s house who had this one. It’s well priced and provides hours of fun. Elle honestly cried when I tried to pull her away from it. I’ve heard that it’s easy to assemble and great for developing motor skills.
