MY MORNING ROUTINE

I’m a full time mom and blogger and am all about routines. I love schedules and knowing what comes next. During the week my morning routine ideally looks the same 5 days a week and I thought I would share a little glimpse into what it looks like. As my roll as a mother has evolved and Elle’s schedule has shifted, so has our schedule to fit that. Let’s take a look, shall we?

7:20 AM: WAKE UP

I always like to wake up a bit before my daughter so that I can have a little time to myself. I usually set an alarm on my phone and make the bed. I then wash my face and head to the kitchen to obviously make the most important start to the day which is COFFEE.

7:30AM: MAKE COFFEE

I am a HUGE coffee person and honestly can’t start my day without it. My current brand of choice is 1850 Brand Coffee. I take my coffee very seriously and rely on the bold, smooth flavor of 1850 Brand Coffee to help me make bold decisions throughout my day. Their beans are fire-roasted and ground to help bring out rich taste and aroma. It is also evenly roasted for consistent coffee flavor with less bitterness.

This new premium coffee can be found at Target and is from the makers of Folgers. It celebrates the heritage of the Folgers Coffee Company that was founded in 1850. 1850 Brand Coffee is available in four signature blends of ground and K-Cup coffee and will also be available in 3 ready to drink flavors. It has a bold, yet smooth taste and perfect for those who go after everything life has to offer.

7:40AM: CHECK EMAILS

While I’m drinking my 1850 Brand Coffee, I like to check through my morning emails. I try to get everything organized and answer before I wake up my daughter. Also, if I have a blog post that went live that AM then I make sure I have all the social sharing organized and set up for the day. Next I take a look at my calendar and to-do list so I know what needs to be completed throughout the week.

8:00AM: WAKE UP ELLE

My daughter usually wakes up somewhere between 7:45-8AM. Before waking her, I like to make sure her milk is poured and ready. Once I raise the blinds in her room and turn off the sound machine, I change her diaper and then we walk together to the kitchen for milk and breakfast.

8:10AM: MAKE + EAT BREAKFAST

While Elle drinks her milk, she watches me make our breakfast. Last week I shared a tbetter sense of what Elle likes to eat for breakfast. I’m a creature of habit and my usual breakfast consists of 2 sunny side up eggs, a piece of toast, some sliced avocado, and fresh fruit. Obviously this all needs to be accompanied by my 185o Brand Coffee. Elle likes a rotation of what I make myself as well as pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and cereal.

8:20AM: PLAY

Since I already answered a bunch of emails before Elle awoke, I’m able to concentrate my entire focus on her. We love listening to music in the morning on Pandora and our current favorites include the Baby Einstein Children’s Radio and Baby Lullaby Radio. We usually head to the coffee table first where Elle likes to make me coffee in her faux coffee maker machine. Then we head to her kitchen where she whips up some breakfast for myself and some of her stuffed animals.

8:40AM: GET DRESSED

Once we’ve played for a little, I usually get Elle and myself dressed and we begin our day. Depending on our schedule, our day usually consists of going to the park, attending music or gym class, running errands, or meeting up with friends. I try devoting all of Elle’s awake time to hanging out with her and work on the blog while she naps or at night while she is sleeping.

So as you can see, here is a glimpse of what my schedule looks like day to day during the week. On weekends we usually like to sleeping in a little later and make a bigger brunch with the whole family.

I owe a lot of my morning function to coffee and more specifically 1850 Brand Coffee. Their bold flavor really helps me take on the day and make bold decisions. Every bold life starts with a first bold choice. Every bold day has a morning. Back in 1850, J.A. Folger started something new and innovative to help the prospectors as they sought their fortunes.

Today there’s still no better way to get after it than with a bold-yet-smooth cup of coffee. 1850 Brand Coffee is the official coffee of bold people fueling original ideas, new commitments, and brave endeavors – ultimately becoming more than a coffee, but an ally to the hustle. Visit Target from 5/20 to 6/30 and take 20% off any 1850 Brand Coffee product with the Target Cartwheel Coupon (while supplies last).

HOW DO YOU LIKE TO START YOUR DAY? I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR!
