Spring is here and that means it’s time to add more color! I recently got this super cute sweater and wanted to share some tips on how to style it. When adding something vibrant to the mix, I always like to pair it with neutrals. It’s also fun to add some textured with a patterned handbag or shoe. I feel like this sweater will look great with not only dark denim, but also white jeans for summer!

These photos were actually taken two weekends ago when I went to brunch with some girlfriends at Barrio. Have you been? They have bottomless mimosas and a really fun vibe. Anyways, it was kind of cold that day because Chicago has been struggling to get its act together in the weather department, but I still wanted to wear some color. I thought this outfit was the perfect choice and will break down each piece below…

COLORBLOCK SWEATER

Let’s first start with my sweater. Isn’t it just the cutest? It’s from Ann Taylor and super stylish. I love the color combo and puffy bell sleeves. I also like the fact that it’s a light-weight material, making it perfect for transitional weather. It’s extremely comfortable and currently under $100 and on sale! Lastly, it also comes in a dress version which I might need to snag as well. Since it’s still chilly during spring, a sweater is a must and you can shop more cute spring sweaters HERE.

DISTRESSED RAW HEM JEGGINGS

What’s better than raw hem jeans? Raw hem jeggings! They’re honestly the best and so stretchy and comfortable. I got them a few weeks ago and there is currently only limited sizing available, so I was able to find some similar styles here, here + here. I’m totally obsessed with the raw hem trend and you can shop more styles I’m loving HERE.

BAMBOO HANDBAG

I know what you’re thinking…isn’t that the Cult Gaia bamboo handbag that every blogger has?? Well you’re close, but wrong. I was able to find a dupe version here for only $40 {the Cult Gaia one found here is currently $170}. I realize it’s trendy and that’s why I went for the cheaper similar style. I think it’s cute and was on the fence about whether it would really hold my stuff, but it does so it’s a keeper. I plan on styling it all summer long so expect another appearance of it on the blog soon 😉 .

SNAKESKIN LOAFERS

Aren’t these loafers fun?! I love mixing in animal print when I can and doing it with a shoe is always a fun unexpected surprise. These are a few years old, but I searched around online and was able to find some identical pairs here, here + here.

So there you have it. A cute and casual outfit that’s perfect for spring. Have a great week guys and check back later this week for a round up of affordable dresses!
