LIFE LATELY // APRIL

it’s actually my birthday today you guys and to celebrate I’m going to an early dinner with my family. Last year I was pregnant with my sweet baby girl and couldn’t drink, so this year I think I’ll treat myself to a cocktail or two ;-).

I’ve been up to a lot lately and wanted to share a little bit of what I’ve been doing. If you follow me on Instagram {or my new latest obsession: InstaStories!}, then some of these pictures might look a bit familiar.

So let’s get to it…

Last month my husband, baby, and I took a trip out to Cali. Our first stop was Laguna Beach. This picture was taken at one of my husband’s favorite restaurants that’s right on the beach called Driftwood Kitchen.

They have great brunch and I had the egg white omelet.

Another pic of the beach because we love the beach!

After Laguna Beach, we drove down to Palm Springs where my parents have a house. Elle had so much fun swimming and hanging out with her grandparents. Isn’t Palm Springs so pretty? I love all the mountains and flowers. Also, doesn’t this photo look fake? It really does look like this guys…

Elle rocking her bathing suit and sun hat poolside 😉 .

My new favorite handbag for spring! It also comes in white + black. You can also find it here.

A picture from Olive Park on one of those random 70 degree days back in March. Hopefully we get some more of that warmer weather soon because this rain is getting real old…

Elle rocking her peplum chambray and stripes. She tries hard to stay on trend 😉 .

Brunch at Freds Restaurant in Barneys. One of my favorite lunch spots in Chicago. The room is so pretty and the food is pretty fab too. Love their salads!

Flowers from the Lincoln Park Conservatory. If you live in Chicago then visiting is a must. I love this place on cold days and it’s also a great location for photo shoots. I’ve taken some outfit photos here in the past seen in this post, this post, and this post.

Elle working on her tummy time.  My heart is melting…

You can never have too many moto jackets. Get this one here and here. It comes in 8 different colors and is under $200 :-). Loving the burgundy and camel.

Lunch date with Peggy at De Cero. Give me all the tacos!

Elle posing with her favorite new blanket and bib from aden + anais. They honestly make such great stuff. Everything is super soft and extremely durable.

My favorite slides. Aren’t the tassels fun? They come in 5 different colors by the way…

My baby boo 🙂 .

Celebrating Jesi’s birthday at The Flamingo Rum Club. Not the best picture, but such a fun night! Great vibe and excellent live music. Also, remember this post? It was taken in front of this place. Love a good Chicago mural.

Walking through Lincoln Park with my little family. Elle always falls asleep when we take her to the zoo.

Elle meeting the easter bunny for the first time. I feel like she is totally unfazed by the fact that a big furry bunny is holding her. I find this picture to be so funny! She had such a fun day at the Woodfield Mall getting her shop on and obviously wore this onesie for the occasion {thanks grandma!}. The bunny will be there through April 15th and you can even schedule your appointment ahead of time here so you can avoid the lines.

Jesi, Monica, and I enjoying the 70 degree weather!

Peggy and I twinning at lunch 😉 !

Celebrating my birthday at Fig & Olive with some fabulous ladies!

Elle trying out her new shades from Janie and Jack. They have so many cute styles for spring and summer. Also, in case you are wondering you can find this pink peplum jumpsuit here

Those tacos look delicious its still kind of early in the morning, and I would go for some yummy tacos along side a healthy serving of guac and chips.
