One thing you should know about me is that I absolutely LOVE pasta. I could honestly eat it for every meal and it is for sure one my pregnancy cravings. When I was little, I was always a buttered noodles kind of gal, but as I’ve grown up I’ve expanded my horizons and found that the recipes to make with pasta are endless.

When it comes to cooking, I am always about making something that is delicious, fast, and easy. With the help of Barilla Pronto Penne Pasta and Barilla® Tomato Sauce, our dinner last night was super simple.

Barilla Pronto Pasta and Sauces provide a wide variety of one pan meal solutions for the busy family. It is available in a variety of versatile cuts, including half-cut spaghetti, penne, and rotini. No boiling and draining required for this one and for every box of Barilla® Pronto™ purchased at Walmart between 7/31/2016 and 10/31/2016, Barilla will donate 10 meals to kids in need through No Kid Hungry, up to half-a-million meals.

Their tomato sauces are great too! They hold a variety of authentic Italian flavors that go perfectly with your family’s favorite dishes and it is also 100% all natural. They have a few different flavors to choose from and all can be found in the pasta aisle at Walmart.

Last night I made a Penne Caprese Pasta that included the help of Barilla Pronto Penne Pasta, Barilla Tomato & Basil Sauce, some fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil, and of course some parmesan cheese. It was all made in one pan that was helpful for both cooking and clean up. I served it with a small side salad and some garlic bread. Also, most importantly it was husband approved. 1. Pour 1 12oz. package of Barilla Pronto Penne into a large skillet {approximately 12 inches in diameter} and add 3 cups of cold water into the pan. Make sure that the water covers the pasta.
  2. Cook on high for 10 minutes and stir regularly {GCG TIP: I added a tablespoon of olive oil to prevent sticking and about 1/2 teaspoon of salt}.
  3. Cut both the fresh mozzarella balls and cheery tomatoes in half.

My mouth is watering over here! I also have been eating pasta like crazy this pregnancy (and let’s face it, pretty much always) and anything caprese always gets me. Yum!

This looks SO good, girl! I love pasta too, not only because it’s so good, but like you’ve said, the possibilities are truly endless and are perfect for busy families! I love that Barilla gives back, I have much more respect and inclination to shop from a company that does. Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have an amazing weekend ahead!
