I’ve always been a huge fan of music. Something you might not know about me is that when I was little I dabbled in a few different instruments including piano lessons for many years and the violin.

As I got older, my passion for music grew and I learned to appreciate it even more. I loved going to concerts of all kinds and my most favorite job ever had to be working at The Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado during college. I was all about the energy and loved seeing a different show every night.

Nowadays I try my hardest to go to as many concerts as possible, but with work and life it can be a struggle. As I have mentioned in many previous posts, one of my all time favorite summertime activities in Chicago has to be music + picnics at Millennium Park. They have so many fun {and free} concerts in the Pritzker Pavillion {mostly on Mondays + Thursdays}. If you haven’t been yet this summer it is something you should for sure check out.

Passions are important and should be pursued. You should not be defined by one thing you do, but instead by everything you do. Mine happens to be music, but everyone is different.

You should follow your own passion by entering the mentorship sweepstakes sponsored by Rémy Martin who encourages us to define our many passions and celebrate the variety of talents that make up who we are.

When attending these summer concerts, my friends and I love doing a picnic potluck style. We also love bringing wine or a fun + festive cocktail. With the help of Rémy Martin Cognac, I was able to create the perfect summertime drink that is easy to make, refreshing, and great for any picnic, party or summertime fun.

Sam, these photos are beautiful! And I had no idea you loved music as much as you do. That summer job in Boulder sounds AWESOME. I’ve STILL never been to the free concerts in Millenial Park but we are going to Ravinia next weekend. So excited. I may even have to bring these cocktails!
