Snow season is here (at least in Chicago) so I am rounding up a few snow boots that are functional, affordable, and most importantly stylish. I find that SHOPBOP, Nordstrom, Zappos, and Bloomingdale’s all have the best selection.

Before I share my most favorites, here are some brands that I love:

1. INUIKII

I love the chunky vibe of this brand. They call their boots “sneakers” and they come in lots of different colors. When it comes to sizing, they are European and I usually go with a size 37 (which is basically a size 6.5/7 in American sizing). I like to usually go up a half size when it comes to winter boots because I like wearing a chunky wool sock for extra warmth. Here are some of my favorite styles below:

2. MOON BOOTS

This style isn’t for everyone, but they do defiantly make a statement. Moon Boots are super cozy and perfect for that trip to Aspen or Vail you might have coming up. The price point isn’t bad at all and they come in a bunch of different colors as well as more low key styles and shower versions.

As far as sizing, they come in a range. I’m a 6.5 and went with the 35/38. They come in so many different colors and even have metallic ones too!

3. UGG

Ugg is a classic when it comes to winter boots. They are not only super cozy, but also oh so warm. The brand has been around for awhile and I had a minor obsession back in the day. In my personal opinion, they are currently trending again, and warmer than ever.

I have and especially LOVE THESE as well as THESE. They also make really comfortable slippers too! I would say that Ugg is pretty true to size so I’ll usually get a size 6.

4. SOREL

Sorel is another great brand when it comes to durability. These can really handle the snow well and the perfect pair for Chicago winters. I got my one and only pair a few years ago and they are still going strong.

I like to break these out during those horrible wintry mixes because I know they can handle it and won’t get ruined (unlink my Uggs that I like to really only wear during colder temps once the snow has been shoveled). I would say these run a bit on the smaller size. I would recommend going up a half or whole size depending on the brand.

5. COUGAR

Last but not least is the brand COUGAR. They are similar in style as Inuikii, but a bit cheaper in price point. They also have the cutest faux fur lined sneakers that work well in the winter months too. They only come in full sizes so I recommend going up if your a half size. For example, I am a size 6.5 so I usually get a size 7 in these.
