As soon as I found out that school was canceled and we were going to be self quarantine for awhile in our home due to COVID-19, I turned to Amazon to help me out. I have a 3 year old and since we have endless time on our hands, I thought I would invest in a few new games, puzzles, sticker books, and art projects to help get me through the days.
I already shared some stuff we love over on Instagram Stories and today I’m sharing a few of our favorites that we have been playing with nonstop. We try to do a new activity every morning after breakfast. It’s always a surprise and something my daughter looks forward to every day (which is great!). Also, lets be honest… you really gotta love Amazon. Delivery has really helped get us through this crazy time.
Let’s break it down…

1. PAINT WITH WATER BUNDLE
We are a huge fan of all things Melissa and Doug. I love a good 3 pack of anything from them. These are great. There is a paint pallet embedded inside each book, making it easy and fun. They aren’t even that messy either, which I love!
2. PLUSHCRAFT BUNNY SET
These craft bunny sets are super cute and the perfect art project for quarantine. They are pretty mess-free and even though they are meant for 5 year olds, my daughter who is 3 still had a lot of fun making them with help from me. They come in a variety of animals and I will for sure be buying more. So cute!
3. SCRIBBLE SCRUBBIE PETS
Out of all of our new Amazon finds, I would say that these are my daughter’s favorite. They are little pets that you can decorate and color with markers. You then wash them off by giving them a bath in their tub and then start all over again. My daughter will play for at least an hour with these every day. She is obsessed!
4. BIG BUTTON NUMBER FUN ACTIVITY SET
This was a big hit. It comes with 5 double-sided boards, number flash cards, and 55 colorful buttons in different shapes to match and count. There are a bunch of different games you can play and it really helps your child better develop counting, color matching and shape sorting. We have been having a lot of fun with this during “math” time.
5. MICKEY MAGNETIC CALENDAR & RESPONSIBILITY CHART
We have been trying to create a loose daily schedule so I decided to buy these magnetic charts to help. One of them goes over the date, weather, season, temperature, daily schedule, special occasions and mood. They other is a responsibility chart that goes over responsibilities, positive behaviors, and rewards. They both help teach the importance of setting goals and give kids a sense of accomplishment. Everything is magnetic and changeable. We haven’t gotten them on the mail yet, but Elle will be especially excited because they are Mickey Mouse themed.
6. PEPPA PIG MATCHING GAME
If you child loves Peppa Pig then they will love this matching game. It’s super cute and only $6. It has all the characters and includes 72 tiles. We have been playing it almost every day since we got it and I love the fact that it helps kids with sorting and memory skills.
7. EASTER EGG DECORATING CRAFT KIT
I thought this would be fun for Easter. It’s a craft kit that comes with stickers so there is no glue or tape needed. It seemed like a good alternative to dying eggs, which is something that we might do too since we have lots of time on our hands 😉 .
8. STICKER PAD SETS
We love these sticker pad sets and they are currently on sale! They feature sweets & treats, make-a-face fashion faces, and make-a-meal themes. You can use all the stickers to decorate each page. My daughter can entertain herself for a long time with these and play with them on her own. I love a good independent play activity.
9. PLAY-DOH HAMBURGER SET
My daughter LOVES play-doh and so I thought I would buy a few new sets to add to her collection. This hamburger and fries set is super cute and only $10. She loves making “food” so it will be the perfect addition. I also got this My Little Pony pie set too.
10. STICKER AND COLORING ACTIVITY PAD
Another amazing Melissa and Doug 3 pack. They include an animal themed alphabet activity pad, color and shapes activity pad, and a farm-themed numbers activity pad. There are more than 230 stickers in each with matching activities and scenes to color and trace. Lots of learning and fun!
11. WIPE CLEAN PEN CONTROL BOOK
We already had the alphabet version of this book so I decided to get this one too. It’s great for Preschoolers and helps them master tracing and pen control skills. It’s filled with exercises and activities for your child to complete so they can develop key skills for writing. Lastly, the special pen included with the book allows all the exercises to be done over and over again.
