10 CHICAGO RESTAURANTS PERFECT FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentine’s Day is next week so today I’m rounding up a few Chicago restaurants that are doing a little something special to celebrate. Whether you are going out with your gal pals, a significant other, or your family, I’ve got the place for you…

1. HUBBARD INN (110 WEST HUBBARD STREET)

They are having a Prix Fixe Dinner for $50 per person + $25 for the beer and wine pairing menu. Highlights include a dozen East and West Coast Oysters, Heart-Shaped Ravioli, Sweet Potato Gnudi, Chocolate Porter Brownie, Rosé Panna Cotta. 2. MASTRO’S STEAKHOUSE (520 NORTH DEARBORN STREET)

Mastro’s is having a Valentine’s Day Dessert Special Feb 1-29th. Guests can enjoy dinner with their sweetie and then indulge in a month-long Valentine’s Day dessert special at Mastro’s. The $18 decadent dessert features a chocolate devils food butter cake baked with cocoa and cream cheese topping served with chocolate ice cream, and drizzled with raspberry sauce and white chocolate ganache.

3. MARGEAUX BRASSERIE (11 EAST WALTON STREET)

This year, Margeaux will be offering a 5-course tasting menu for $120 per person. Some of the highlights include Salmon Tartare, Caledonian Blue Prawn Bisque, Beet Gnudi, Braised Beef Shortrib, and Dover Sole. See the full menu here.




4. MORTON’S (1050 NORTH STATE STREET)

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Morton’s in Chicago, Naperville, Northbrook, Rosemont, and Schaumburg will feature an indulgent Steak and Lobster Special for $59. The entree includes an 8oz filet mignon paired with a 1¼ pound lobster topped with lobster butter sauce ad finished with grated parmesan cheese and a savory puffed pastry.

5. FIG & OLIVE (104 EAST OAK STREET)

This Valentine’s Day, Fig & Olive will be offering a romantic four-course dinner prix fixe with an optional wine pairing. There will also be live music and speciality cocktails. Some of the highlights from the menu include Oyster Rockefeller, Tuna Tartare, Braised Veal Osso Bucco, Grass Fed Filet Mignon, and a dessert tasting. Dinner is $75 per person and the wine pairing is $42 per person.




6. TUSCANY (1014 W. TAYLOR STREET)

Tuscany on Taylor Street will offer a la carte specials in celebration of Valentine’s Day on February 14th and 15th. Some of the highlights include Grigliata Mista, Agnolotti, and Aragosta e Filet. Reservations are recommended.




7. UVAE (5553 N. CLARK STREET)

Guests can indulge in decadent chef specials and wine pairings this Valentine’s Day weekend. Some of the highlights include Pear & Prosciutto Carpaccio, Warm Butter Poached Lobster Salad, Smoked Beet Dip, Beef Tenderloin, and Lemon Herb Sole. For dessert, diners can indulge in a $9 Sparkling Sorbet Float as well as complimentary signature French Macarons.

8. YUGEN (652 W. RANDOLPH STREET)

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Yugen will offer an 8-course tasting menu available for $250 per person. There is also an addition optional $150 beverage pairing from February 13th through February 15th. Some of the menu highlights include Japanese Souffle Pancakes, Beef Jerky, Alaskan King Crab, King Trumpet Soup, Sashimi, A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, White Truffle




9. LE COLONIAL (57 EAST OAK STREET)

Celebrate at Le Colonial with a three-course dinner of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The $85 per person menu includes an amuse-bouche, appetizer, entree, and dessert.

10. GEMINI (2075 NORTH LINCOLN AVE)

This year, Gemini is offering a special prix fixe menu for $80 per person with an optional wine paring for $45 per person. Some of the highlights include Hamachi Crudo, Korean Beef Tartare, Clams Casino, Black Truffle Tagliatelle, Colorado Rack of Lamb, and Strawberry Shortcake. See the full menu here.
