WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO TEACH YOUR CHILD HOW TO SWIM

This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Happy Wednesday guys! International Learn To Swim Day is coming up as well as summer so I thought I would share a bit about why it’s important to teach your child how to swim.

Elle has loved the water from an early age, but isn’t always so confident. With that said, we recently decided to enroll her in swim lessons because we believe it’s important to teach your child how to swim. I’ve heard that the earlier, the better and with summer coming up, we thought it would be the perfect time.

While our daughter is still learning, we have put our trust in SwimWays products. We are actually huge fans of the brand and have been using their products since Elle was a baby. Remember this post? We really relied on the Baby Spring Float Canopy for the first two years of Elle’s life.

Now that our daughter is a bit older, we have moved onto the SwimWays Paw Patrol Swim Trainer. It is Swim Step2 in the SwimWays Swim Step program and has been a real lifesaver. We are luck enough to have access to an indoor pool, so Elle has been practicing and getting ready for summer. This Swim Trainer has really helped Elle feel more comfortable in the water and she absolutely LOVES the cute Paw Patrol design.

SwimWays is an industry leader when it comes to helping children learn to swim. They promote water safety and even founded National Learn to Swim Day in 2012. As pools begin to open across the US in May, it’s a great opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of water safety and teaching children to swim.

Drowning is still one of the most common causes of accidental death in children, so being able to swim is essentially a life-saving skill. There is water all around us (even in the bath tub) so making sure your child is comfortable in and around water is necessary for their safety. As my daughter begins to use the SwimWays Paw Patrol Swim Trainer more frequently, we will make sure to report back on our personal experience with the product.

Interested in trying one out for your own toddler? You can find this exact product here and the other version here. Also, make sure to head to Target to pick up their SwimWays products for the summer season!
