I’m always looking for easy ways to make my life healthier. It’s important to take time for yourself and do things that will improve your mind, body, and soul. I make goals that are totally achievable and easy to implement.
I try not to be too hard on myself and love to hit the reset button on Mondays for a fresh start to the week. That’s what makes me who I am and easy + healthy snacks from Lorissa’s Kitchen helps fuel that side of me.
Since having a baby, I’m on a new health journey to get back to my pre-baby weight. I’m very close, but still not totally there so today I’ve teamed up with Lorissa’s Kitchen to share 5 easy tips for a healthier lifestyle.
1. DRINK LOTS OF WATER
I love water and try to drink a lot of it throughout the day. I stay away from soft drinks or anything with sugar and besides a cup of coffee in the morning, water is my go-to beverage of choice. If you don’t love the boring taste, try adding some fresh fruit or even opting for a sparkling kind.
2. GET MOVING
I try my hardest to work out at least 2 times a week. If you set a realistic goal, then it is more achievable. I also love walking {and hate driving} so I walk basically anywhere and everywhere. I love taking my daughter to the park, zoo, beach, and pushing the stroller up and down hills is quite the workout. It’s currently summer so if you hate the gym, then get outside! Also if you get bored easily, then try a new workout class or grab a friend for more motivation.
3. TRY TO EAT HEALTHY 5 DAYS A WEEK
I try my hardest to eat healthy during the week and then indulge on weekends. One way I’m able to do this is with Lorissa’s Kitchen. As we all know I’m a huge fan of fashion! Even if you work from home, make it a goal to get dressed every day. Wear clothes that make you feel good about yourself because if you look good then you will feel good too. Clean out your closet each season and invest in pieces that are versatile and flattering.
5. STAY POSITIVE
Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you mess up, don’t worry because you can always try harder the next day. As they always say, it’s a marathon and not a sprint. Stay positive and take things one day at a time because the happier you are, the healthier you will be. Making subtle tweaks in your day to day routine can really help you live a healthier lifestyle.
