When I think of spring, the first color that comes to mind is always blush. This soft pink hue is elegant, cheerful, and pairs perfectly with so many styles. I actually have never met a pink that I don’t like, and am currently stocking up on a few blush colored items this season.
Also on a side note if you didn’t already notice…I cut my hair! What do you all think? I got over 4 inches cut off and am loving it. I’m still working on exactly how to style it and learning how to give it those beachy waves, so it’s totally a work in progress. If you need a new hair stylist, I went to Olivia at Charles Ifergan Salon in Chicago. Also, if you mention my name you can get $25 off your first haircut.
Now let’s finally talk about the outfit I’m wearing. Two weeks ago my friend Peggy and I had the chance to attend a Women Empowering Women’s luncheon hosted by Maple & Ash and this is the outfit I wore. It was such an inspirational event and one that I think should be held yearly. It was a great reminder that women need to support one another and help build each other up.
For the event I decided to go with a simple black dress with a bit of a twist. I love the fun lace-up detail, sheer material, and honestly you can never go wrong with a little black dress. It’s from the brand Chelsea28 and 2 years old, but I was able to find identical options here, here + here. Also the brand is really affordable and they have a bunch of cute dresses for spring!
I paired my dress with some tights. If you have to wear tights, then these are honestly my favorite. Also some leopard booties {we already know how much I’m a fan!}, a blush colored jacket {shorter version here}, some sunnies, and a fun little handbag.
I’m actually currently in Arizona with my husband and his family celebrating spring break. Luckily it’s way warmer here than Chicago so I’m able to have fun without jackets and tights for a change…
Shop my styles below as well as some other blush colored items I am crushing on…
