Elle is officially 7 weeks old so I wanted to share a bit of an update today. She has been one bundle of joy and so much fun to hang out with. Elle is currently learning how to smile has been loving working out in her activity gym. She also has been such a great sleeper and is a pro at tummy time. She usually only cries when she is hungry or tired and we love going for walks when the weather is warm enough.

Being a new mom can be filled with lots of new experiences for both myself and my baby. There are so many different products and brands currently on the market, it is always a struggle to find the safest and best choices for our babies. One thing for sure is that I knew I wanted to formula feed Elle. Since my husband and I always try to shop organic for ourselves, we knew that when it came to our baby, we wanted to implement the same standards.

I was super excited when I found out about Plum Organics® Grow Well® infant formula. What I love most about it is the fact that there are no corn syrup solids added and their carbohydrate source is from cow’s milk lactose only. The milk they use is from cows not treated with the hormone rBST** and it is both organic and non-GMO.

Why do I believe that organic matters? Well Plum Organic’s infant formula is the only one on the market certified by Oregon Tilth. Their seal of approval signifies that their formula meets USDA’s high standards for organic foods. The organic certification also means no genetically modified ingredients {GMOs} can be included.

Plum Organic’s believes formula is food. For those of us who buy organic dairy for ourselves, want the dairy in the food we’re feeding our littlest ones to be organic as well. Also a huge bonus is that when Elle gets bigger she can start trying the mealtime products as well as the tots and kids snacks.

Since Elle is 7 weeks old now, we just started putting her on a daily schedule. She is currently eating 3-4 ounces per feeding about every 3-4 hours during the day. I am also super proud of her because she is able to sleep from 9PM to about 5AM straight before she wakes up and gets hungry again.

Some things we still need to work on include burping {am I the only mother that struggles with this?! ha. and also getting her to fall asleep on her own for bedtime without crying or fussing {honestly the hardest thing for me..}. I guess everything is a work in progress 😉

One thing for sure is that she LOVES her food. Plum Organics® Grow Well® infant formula can be found at any Albertsons, Safeway, or Jewel and to get a $5.00 OFF coupon click here. Since I am still so new at this {Elle is currently 7 weeks}, I would love to hear any new mama tips you’ve got for me!

** No significant difference has been shown between milk derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows.
