AND THEN THERE WERE THREE

baby announcement 1So the time has come to spill the beans and share some exciting news with all of you. We are having a baby and are over the moon jumping with joy! I’m currently in my second trimester and due at the beginning of December. Lately it has been hard hiding the bump so I thought it was time to share the fun secret with everyone.

We are having a GIRL which works out well for me because I love clothes and the color pink 😉 . The first trimester was a bit rough filled with tiredness and morning sickness, but now I am feeling much much better.

My clothes are starting to not fit anymore, so I recently went shopping and stocked up on maxi dresses, tunics, leggings, and new jeans. For t-shirts, tops, and tunics, I’ve been able to just go up to a size medium and find regular styles like some $10 t-shirts from H&M, and some adorable tunics from Anthropologie.

Pants is where I’ve had to go for maternity styles.  I got this white pair from ASOS, this skinny black pair {that comes in 5 different colors}, and these dark denim ones from TopShop. I got them slightly on the larger side so that I can hopefully wear them my entire pregnancy. Lastly, these leggings are fabulous and I highly recommend them.

I have been perusing the maternity styles and so far I am liking what Topshop, ASOS, H&M, Ann Taylor LOFT, A Pea In The Pod, and Gap have to offer. If I am missing any other online maternity stores I would love to know since I’m a newbie at this 😉 .

Today I’m wearing this maxi dress from Venus {not maternity and ON SALE for $22}, with a denim jacket from Theory {old, similar styles here, here + here}, and some gold sandals {which are currently on SALE}. My amazing husband made a rare appearance on the blog {thanks Steve!!} and is wearing a Brooks Brothers button down, some shorts from Banana Republic, and Sperry shoes.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy Samantha. I can see your bump under that pretty colorful maxi dress. I also have a little girl and mine is a Winter baby too. Girls are the best and sweetest and so much fun to dress. I even do a lot of Mommy+Me style posts now that mine is a toddler.
