This year for Valentine’s Day I wanted to do something really special for my husband. Since he works from home and uses the second bedroom as his office, I thought it would fun to do a bit of a makeover and spruce things up a bit for him. With the help of Minted, I was able to pick out a few amazing pieces of art, as well as an accent pillow for the already existing couch. The new items really helped to create a whole new look.

Before I do the big reveal, I want to fill you guys in a bit about Minted. Have you guys heard of it before? Not only do they have an amazing stationary section where you can create and customize stationaryinvitations, announcements, and even adorable cards {make sure to check out all the ones they have for Valentine’s Day}, but they also have beautiful artwork {including both photography + prints}, as well as home, party, and holiday decor.

After browsing through Minted’s website, I was able to find 3 pieces of art that I knew my husband would love:

This piece really spoke out to me because the artist {Kaitlin Rebesco} explained how she took this photo on a road trip from Chicago to LA. How fun is that? To me it really shows the true vibe of California. My husband and I LOVE Cali and this photo is a visual representation of a favorite destination of ours: Santa Monica. Who doesn’t love the beach?

One thing you don’t know about me is that I was a studio art major in college and was particularly drawn to abstract paintings. I love the vibrant carnival colors of this piece and felt that it would really brighten up my husband’s office well. I also love how the artist {Stephanie Lessing} explains how this piece represents the colors she grew up with in the French Riviera. It reminds her of the sun setting and flowers growing on the mountainside. Can you see it?

Not only is Paris the city of love, but also one of the first places my husband and I traveled to. This photo was taken from the Arc De Triomphe and depicts the Eiffel Tower amongst the city streets in the springtime. It was taken during the afternoon when the lights made the buildings look as if they were glowing.

I really do love how every print + photograph has a story to tell about both the piece and the artist who created it. When it came to looking at Minted’s home decor section, this pillow really jumped out at me. I was drawn the the contrasting colors of grey + white {which go well with our already existing pillows}, as well as the bold design.
