POP OF PINK

Happy February everyone!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner so naturally I’ve begun to think about my outfit. This year my husband and I plan to spend the day together and then go out to a nice dinner. I want to wear something simple + cute.

Since it’s still cold here in Chicago, sweaters are a must. I’m a huge fan of these turtleneck sweaters from the Gap {I honestly have them in EVERY color}. I added a fun scuba material floral skirt from Bloomingdale’s. It’s from their brand AQUA and is from last season, but I was able to find some similar styles here, here + here.

My booties are Old Navy and only $42. They come in 3 different colors and are such a steal 😉 . I’ve also found some similar styles here, here + here.

Lastly, I’ve got to add a pop of pink {or red} since it’s Valentine’s Day right? This bucket bag is a new favorite of mine. Isn’t it the cutest? They also make it in gold, bordeaux, silver, black, tan and blue. The possibilities are endless 🙂 .

My friend Jesi and I snapped these pics at the Garfield Park Conservatory last weekend. If you live in Chicago and you haven’t been then for sure check it out! It is so warm and magical.

Still looking for some V-day ideas? Last year I planned a fun Galentine’s Day dinner partay for all of my gal pals. Interested in staying in? Here are some Valentine’s Day themed recipes you can make. How cute is this heart shaped pizza!? I also recommend doing an activity together like a cooking class at The Chopping Block or a couples massage {The Four Seasons Spa has great ones!}.

If you are still looking into what to wear for Valentine’s Day, make sure to check out last week’s post on Valentine’s Day Dresses Under $150. Also, next week I’ll be sharing some of my favorite date night restaurants in Chicago and a fancier outfit. What are all of your plans this year for Valentine’s Day?

I love the fringed bucket bag! I saw it online just the other day in black. I love the pink and how it looks with this black and white outfit. Your skirt is fantastic! I wish it was still for sale this year. Have a wonderful day!
