A few weeks back I had the chance to check out Miss Ricky’s {located at 203 North Wabash in the Chicago Virgin Hotel}. This hip new restaurant is a modern take on a 50’s American diner including everything from the decor to the food. I went for dinner with my friend Peggy and got to try a variety of tasty bites. We started the evening with some fun cocktails and shared the most amazing appetizer {potato skin mac & cheese}. We then had the half roasted chicken and shortrib pot pie {both delish!}. Lastly, we finished the evening with the death by chocolate cake which is seriously a must order. It came with it’s own edible chocolate knife that oozed even more chocolate when you bit into it. Check out some pics Peggy snapped below and if your downtown, make sure to swing by. You can view the entire menu here and I’ve decided I can’t wait to go back to try the chicken and waffles 😉 !

That food looks SO delicious!! I’m glad that you enjoyed it. I went there with my husband for drinks a week ago and we didn’t like it that much. I feel like it wasn’t what I pictured it to be, and that we were oldest people there. Haha. I kind of want to go back to check out the rooftop though.
